It's almost Thanksgiving!

Enjoying time with family, preparing for the holidays, and let's not forget about turkey!! Thanksgiving is a busy time for many people, making it no surprise that it's one of the most travel-heavy times of the year.

According to Nationwide.com, 56% of drivers will travel at least 100 miles, with the average long-distance trip length being 214 miles! And approximately 91% of Thanksgiving trips are made by car.

With all of this traveling, don't forget that recycling helps save fuel!

In just one month, 157,980 gallons of oil were saved from 753,120 milk jugs and 6,095,456 water/soda bottles recycled at Midwest Fiber! So keep up the good work recycling, and we wish everyone safe travels!!

Have you started wrapping presents yet?

If so, how about creating some holiday nostalgia with brown paper packages? And, of course, strings! Using wrapping paper that is 100% paper makes it 100% recyclable! And strings can be used in the garden or compost pile.

This time of year, we see a lot of ribbon and foil wrapping paper come into single-stream, and neither are recyclable. Ribbon can be reused, and foil paper scraps are perfect for craft time! But when it comes to recycling, it needs to be all paper.

We hope that everyone has a happy Thanksgiving and wonderful holiday season!!
